This dissertation aims to analyze the translation of the work “Escritos”, by Moyses Louro de Azevedo Filho, into the English language and analyze the decisions of the translators in the work regarding the cultural aspects of the text, presenting samples of the translation. The work “Escritos” was translated into English by William Rodrigues da Rocha and Emanuela Cardoso and in final phase for publication in Rome, Italy. Although the translators were Brazilian, they had a team of English-speaking reviewers who, in several meetings, revised the translation to be more fluent to the English-speaking reader.
