This article proposed a comparative analysis of five articles published on the Internet between the end of April and May 2020. They all have in common the objective of presenting tips for the promotion of reading habits in children considering the context of confinement required by the Covid-19 pandemic. Our purpose is to investigate the underlying conceptions of reading, reader, mediator and mediation in these texts, inserting them in the framework of a social perspective of reading, which takes into account class relations in contemporary Brazil.
