Skin picking disorder, also known as dermatillomania or psychogenic excoriation, is classified in the Obsessive Compulsive and Related Disorders category in Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition and characterized by repetitive skin picking behaviors resulting in skin lesions.
