Production of shaft

The bachelor's thesis is classified under the field of Engineering Technology and proposes a process for the production of a shaft made of steel 12 050 by combined extrusion. The material in question can be used, for example, for parts of mining machines, larger gears, pins or screws. In accordance with the acquired findings on the issue of volume forming, the production of the component was designed for two forming operations. A block with a diameter of 55 mm and a length of 146 mm was chosen as a semi-finished product. The production was designed on a Schuler automatic machine, which is a part of the company Metaldyne Oslavany, with a nominal force of 2 000 tons and a height of 7 meters in a series of 100 000 pieces per year
