Des and Noelene Moir who have a 1200 hectare property 'Deep Pool' between Beverley and Brookton on the Dale River, made a decision to spend almost $10,000 on a 4.5 kilometre long WISALTS interceptor bank earlier this year. In recent years, the Moir's were worried about the falling productivity of their land. They have been dealing with excess water problems, but how to deal with it was another matter. After attending a WISALTS school in Kellerberrin, Des was convinced that interceptor banks were the way to go. Survey work was done and a 4.5 kilometre bank was constructed to protect about one third of the property.
