The aim of this research is gaining insight in the context of how first and 1.5-generation Iranians in the Netherlands negotiate their sense of citizenship, identity, home and belonging. These contested concepts are currently highlighted since many people are on the move whether it is due to desire or violence. this research focuses on the dominant discourses on how migration is approached within the Dutch society through the stories of first ad 1.5-generation Iranian-Dutch citizens with a politically active background.The results show that concepts such as citizenship, identity, home and belonging are not fixed but rather fluid and changeable due to past and present experiences in present settings. this is strongly related to global proces...
