John Hitchens

John Hitchens was 16 years old when this photograph was taken by the Bretzman Photograph Studio in 1920. The customer card lists his address at 3229 Washington Boulevard in Indianapolis. His parents, Arthur and Ethel Hitchens are listed in the City Directory and Arthur was a bacteriologist at Eli Lilly. The family is also in the 1920 census record where John's name and age was found.This image is a preservation copy made from an unstable original nitrate negative. The image is part of Series III
