Tyrimo problema: Per kelis pastaruosius dešimtmečius yra pastebimas spartus Dermacentor reticulatus rūšies plitimas Europoje. Šios rūšies erkės yra pagrindinis vektorius, Europoje, pernešantis Babesia canis rūšies patogenus, kurie sukelia šuninę babeziozę, kuri kelia didelę grėsmę naminiams gyvūnams. Taip pat trūksta duomenų apie Dermacentor reticulatus genetinę medžiagą. Tyrimo klausimai: Apžvelgti Dermacentor reticulatus paplitimą ir pernešamus patogenus. Atlikti D. reticulatus rūšies erkių ITS2 ribosominio DNR fragmento pagausinimą PGR metodu. Atlikti kitų mokslinių grupių rezultatų paiešką pasinaudojant BLAST algoritmu.
