In recent years, the outspread of Dermacentor reticulatus ticks to the new areas has been observed. Furthermore, their seemingly uncharacteristic habitats have raised concerns due to the spread of tick-borne pathogens and the risk to animal and human health. However, there has been insufficient data about the range changed of D. reticulatus, as well as the tick-borne pathogens in Europe.
