Reimaginando los bandidos crucificados con Jesús

The synoptic gospels and John describe Jesus crucified between two bandits. The Gospelof Luke, however, expands the story and tells that one of them repents, whilst the other iscondemned. This article briefly seeks to reveal how the life of these two bandits are reimaginedthrough the years. The sources examined are divided into three sections: (a) manuscriptsof the New Testament, (b) New Testament apocrypha, and (c) non-canonicalNew Testament documents. The study depicts the development of the story of these twomen, noting existing similarities and contradictions amongst the sources studied.Los evangelios sinópticos y Juan indican que Jesús es crucificado entre dos bandidos. ElEvangelio de Lucas, sin embargo, amplía el relato y narra cómo uno de ellos se arrepiente,en tanto el otro es condenado. El propósito de este artículo es exponer concisamentecómo la vida de estos dos bandidos es reimaginada a través de los años. Las fuentes examinadasson agrupadas en tres secciones: (a) manuscritos del Nuevo Testamento, (b) apócrifosdel Nuevo Testamento, y (c) documentos no canónicos del Nuevo Testamento. El estudiodescribe el desarrollo de la historia de estos dos hombres, notando las similitudes ycontradicciones que existen entre las fuentes estudiadas
