Aufbereitung vorhandener Daten fuer Verkehrsplanungszwecke als Ersatz fuer neue Befragungen

The lively discussion regarding the census showed that person-related surveys regarding transport behaviour will, in the future, only be possible under difficult circumstances. As a result, there will, at the same time, be an increased realisation risk and increased expenditure. On the other hand, reliable and up-to-date assessment data are always required for the purposes of transport planning. This confilict can be resolved by userfriendly preparation of already available data for the purposes of transport planning. To this end a procedure has been developed which contributes to making, in certain cases, primary surveys on individual transport behaviour unnecessary and to simplifying the use of data which is already available. The approach is based on the 1987 census and KONTIV'89 as the secondary statistical information sources with regard to space and transport, respectively.
