The R and D project was focused on two goals: First, to set up a research and application center for cryoelectronic circuits at the IPHT Jena and, second, to develop a new type of a microwave circuit for the Josephson voltage standard, which in contrast to the conventional 70 GHz circuits can be operated at lower frequencies. In this way, the prime costs of a voltage standard system can be decreased significantly. In connection with this, it has to be searched for HTS variants of a Josephson voltage standard. Within the frame of the R and D project the infrastructure and the technological processes for the production of voltage standard as well as SQUID circuits were established.
