Einfluss des Schwefelgehaltes im unverbleiten Ottokraftstoff auf die Wirksamkeit von Abgaskatalysatoren

Exhaust emissions (carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxides) from 16 catalyst cars were determined depending on the sulfur content of gasoline containing 50, 150 and 450 ppm sulfur. Measurements were made in the European test cycle and at constant speeds (90 and 120 km/h). In the European test cycle the switch from 450 to 150 ppm sulfur resulted in a reduction of the already small concentrations of the pollutants by 10-20%, whereas for the change from 150 to 50 ppm sulfur only for hydrocarbons a statistically significant reduction by about 5% was obtained. (orig.)Die Abgasemissionen (Kohlenmonoxid, Kohlenwasserstoff, Stickoxide) von 16 Katalysatorfahrzeugen wurden in Abhaengigkeit vom Schwefelgehalt in Ottokraftstoffen untersucht, wobei Kraftstoffe mit 50, 150 und 450 ppm Schwefel verwendet wurden. Die Messungen erfolgten im europaeischen Abgaszyklus und bei konstanter Geschwindigkeit (90 und 120 km/h). Im Abgaszyklus ergab sich beim Uebergang von 450 auf 150 ppm Schwefel eine Reduzierung der absolut bereits kleinen Schadstoffkonzentration um 10-20%, waehrend fuer den Wechsel von 150 auf 50 ppm Schwefel nur fuer Kohlenwasserstoffe eine statistisch signifikante Reduzierung um etwa 5% erhalten wurden.
