With the advent of the scientific approach to the development of artificial intelligence systems designed to process different images, by analogy as a man, for describing their semantics problem identifying the psychophysical laws and their quantitative representation that deliver the highest efficiency and quality of the operator's personnel. Taking into account the mental and physical aspects of operator activity, and that the intellectual is essential and is to provide the human operator the necessary information to make a decision as reducing tension and fatigue caused by pushing a high level of responsibility, insufficient representation of information and lack of time.The main purpose of this paper is to describe an experiment that results in an accurate and adequate recognition quantify time depending on the brightness and contrast of the images presented on the screen.В статье обосновывается психофизический подход к процессу восприятия информации на экране монитора. Проанализированы факторы, влияющие на зрительные механизмы распознавания, приведен алгоритм экспериментального исследования, условия его проведения, процедура регистрации времени распознавания и способа изменения распознавательной сложностиВ статті обгрунтовується психофізичний підхід до сприйняття інформації. Проаналізовано фактори, що впливають на зорові механізми розпізнання, наведено алгоритм експериментального дослідження, умови його проведення, процедура реєстрації часу розпізнавання та способу зміни розпізнавальної складності наданих зображень.
