The relationship between studying abroad and the development of selected skills and career expectations of VŠE students

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of the impact of study abroad on the personal development and career expectations of students at the University of Economics in Prague. The aim is to find out whether there is a relationship between completing a study abroad program and the development of selected personal development skills and career expectations of students at the University of Economics in Prague. The theoretical part contains basic knowledge on the topic, analysis of the literature and connects this research with works of other authors. The methodological part describes the research methods used. The practical part analyzes data based on a questionnaire survey. At the end of the thesis, the results of research are presented, from which it can be concluded that students who studied abroad manage stress and time management better than students who have not studied abroad and the also have higher average salary expectations.Diplomová práce se věnuje problematice dopadů studijních pobytů v zahraničí na osobní rozvoj a kariérní očekávání studentů VŠE. Cílem je zjistit, jestli existuje vztah mezi absolvováním zahraničního studijního pobytu a rozvojem vybraných dovedností a kariérními očekáváními u studentů Vysoké školy ekonomické v Praze. Teoretická část obsahuje základní poznatky k tématu, rozbor literatury a propojení výzkumu s pracemi jiných autorů. V metodické části jsou popsány užívané metody výzkumu. V praktické části jsou analyzována data, vycházející z dotazníkového šetření. V závěru práce jsou představeny výsledky výzkumu, ze kterých lze učinit závěr, že studenti, kteří absolvovali studijní pobyt v zahraničí, zvládají stres i time management lépe, než studenti, kteří studijní pobyt neabsolvovali a zároveň mají i vyšší průměrné platové očekávání
