Pots and Prints is the first in a series of faculty exhibitions presented during the Fall 2010 semester. Pots and Prints features ceramics, sculpture and prints by Visual Arts professors, Trent Burkett and Monika Meler. Trent Burkett\u27s artwork reflects an appreciation for functional objects from the strictly everyday to the more eccentric sculptural aspects of experiencing objects. His work incorporates an aesthetic of both organic/gestural qualities, as well as architectural/human invented forms. As a result, Burkett creates a dynamic equilibrium between the sculptural aspects and the conventions of functionality.
