The Marine Icing Monitoring System (MIMS) is a system used to collect image data to monitor ice accumulation on offshore rigs and vessels. MIMS collected from two vessels, the Marine Atlantic ferry Caribou and Petro-Canada?s Atlantic Kingfisher. This report describes how the image data was analyzed for icing events. It also describes the documentation of these events as well as a description and analysis concerning ice accumulation measurements. From these measurements, graphs were created, indicating the ice growth on various parts of the vessel.NRC publication: Ye
