We have been studying a number of enzyme systems electrophoreticalJy in both cultivated (G. max) and wild soybeans (G. soja), as well as in related species (Gorman and Kiang, 1977; 1978; Kiang, 1981; Gorman et al., n.d.). Our primary concern has been to measure genetic variation within and between wild and cultivated soybeans.
