H* Publications Committee of the University Press 1. There shall be a Publication Committee of t Press which shall consist of the President of the University, the Director of the University Press, a representative from each department and research unit of the University, who shall preferably be persons engaged in research and publication, and not more than six additional members from outside the University may be invited by the Academic Board upon the recommendation of the Administrative Committee of the University* 2*,, The Committee shall meet bi-monthly during the course of each semester* 3* The Committee shall, at its first meeting of each academic year, elect its own Chairman from among its academic members. Tn the absence of the previous yearss Chairman, the Chairman of the Academic Board shall convene the first meeting* 4., The Director of the University Press shall act as Executive Secretary to the Committee. 5* The Committee shall receive manuscripts, appoint referees, and decide upon the suitability of manuscripts for publication according to the procedures for selection and publication laid down in the document entitled The Reorganization of the American University in Cairo Press, dated October 1961* Archives] ' u BRARV ,1 he Universit
