FACULTY MEETING DRAFT MINUTES OCCIDENTAL ROOM Thursday 11:00 a.m. April 22, 1976. 29 The Agenda was approved. 30 The minutes of the March 4 meeting were approved. 31 The Faculty voted to accept the following individuals for invited membership in the Faculty for the duration of their appointments: Dr. Hussein Fawzy Mr. John Nelson Dr. Mohamed I. Younis Dr. John Rodenbeck 32 Motion carried: The Chairman of the Budget Review Committee is asked to submit a report of the Committee's work this year to the Faculty by June, 1976. 33 The Chairman of the Faculty reported that he had appointed an investigative committee composed of Dr. Breebart, Mr. Dewey and Dr. Hakim and chaired by himself to look into the faculty salary structure. A request by the committee to review the faculty salary scale was denied by the administration; however, the Dean of Faculties suggested the committee monitor the work of the Department Chairmen's Committee which essentially should be doing the same work. 34 Announcements: a. On May 6, the President will address the Faculty on the subject of the University Budget. All faculty are urged to attend this very important meeting. b. There are currently 150 legitimate voting members of the Faculty. c. The By-Laws Amendment Committee has completed the rewriting of the By-Laws and these new By-Laws will soon be distributed to the Faculty together with a copy of the old By-Laws. The Faculty is asked to read both the old and new By-Laws in preparation for discussion in a Faculty Meeting in the near future. 35 The meeting was adjourned at 11:40 a.m
