•5- Membership: President, chairman; the vice president, the four deans*, the Director of Extension, the Director of General Services, and twa members of the professional staff elected by the faculty. The Public Affairs Council (A) Functions: a. To formulate broad policies that involve the areas of concern of more than one of the committees serving under it. b. To review the policies of its subsidiary committees. o. To coordinate the activities planned by the various subsidiary committees. d. To advise the University, the Academic Council and the Student Personnel Services Council on the public implications of their respective programs. Membership: Director Division of Extension, (chairman); president, chairman of the subsidiary committees, Director of Alumni and Public Relations, representatives of graduate and undergraduate faculties, and four representatives from the Cairo community. The Public Programs Committee (A-l) Functions: a. To formulate policy for all public programs, including concerts; lectures, drama, movies, etc. b. To review and coordinate the planning of various groups within the university which are interested in promoting programs for the public. c. To plan and carry out a program series, or to appoint working committees to carry out overall plans. Membership: Director, Division of Extension, chairman; staff members interested in theatre, music, art, and national-international affairs, chairman of the undergraduate Assemblies Committee, and Cultural Programs Committee, and representatives from such areas of the community as government, education, and industry. ■dean Faculty of EducationDean Undergraduate Faculty, Dean Graduate Faculty, Dean of Students
