Dr. Toepfer reported that a review of sample seat designs in October resulted in the identification of one possibly acceptable locally manufactured model that will cost $350 per seat, and two others made of imported parts assembled locally at $800 per seat. When the President returns to Cairo an estimate of the full cost of renovating Ewart Hall will be available, and it can then be decided which aspects - seating, painting, lights, and sound system among them - can be funded given the moneys currently available.
