J I I -2- 4. Report of the Nominating Committee - a. Re-election of Trustees - The following Trustees whose terms were expiring were re-e1ected for terms of 3 years to run through December, 1977: Mrs. Sanders, Messrs. Aldrich, Battle, Crary, McCloy, Yost. b. Designation of Committees and Members - The Trustees approved the revisions suggested by the Nominating Committee (see attachments 1a and 1b). It was agreed that Chairmen of the various committees would be designa­ted at a later time. c. Election of Officers - The existing slate of officers was re-e1ected and the following additions were approved: Mr. Yost was elected Second Chairman (Mrs. Lord being unable to participate fully because of illness); and Mr. McCloy was elected Assistant Treasurer. 5. "Protoco1"- The Chairman summarized the background and current situation and discussed the deliberations that ,took place at the Executive Committee meeting February 16 (attended by Messrs. Bacon, Crary, Devine, Hedlund, McCloy, Simpson, Thorne, Van Vleck, Wells, Winder, Yost and O'Connor.) After prolonged discussion of the many complex issues involved, the clear sense of the Executive Committee was that the University should not enter into any agree­ment, under whatever form or language, that would result in
