CALVERLEY The twentieth annual meeting of the Board of Trustees of the American University at Cairo was called to order by the Chairman Dr. Wm. Bancroft Hill, at the University Club in New York City at 10 A.M. on Janu-ary 27, 1939. Dr. Hill opened the meeting with prayer. Before proceeding with the regular order of business, Dr. Edwin E. Calverley of Hartford, Conn., was elect-ed a trustee by the unanimous adoption of the follow-ing resolution: THAT Dr. Edwin E. Calverley of Hartford, Conn., be elected a member of the Board of Trustees of the American University at Cairo in the class of trustees whose terms run from 1938-41. 376. MEMBERS The following members were present: Mewrs. E. E. PRESENT Calverley, E. M. Craig, W. H. S. Demarest, R. J. Frackelton, T. J. Gillespie, Jr., R. W. Harbison, W. B. Hill, J. H. MacCracken, J. M. Steele, S. Thorne, F. K. Weyerhaeuser; and H. A. Lum. 377. ABSENCES AND Excuse's for absence were presented for the following: EXCUSES Messrs. J. T. Addison, R. J. Dodds, C. P. Erdman, H. Garrett, D. Horton, A. B. Lisle, G. D. Lockhart, and G. L. Robinson. 378. APPROVAL OF Minutes of the nineteenth meeting of the Board of MINUTES Trustees held in New York City on November 12, 1937 were approved as circulated. 379. CIRCULAR ACTION Circular action of the Board dated October 3, 1938 APPROVED was unanimously approved, as follows: THAT the annual meeting of the Board of Trustees of the American University at Cairo which normally would be held in October or November 1938, be postponed to January 1939
