Lower Eel River Storage and Lake Havasu Aqueduct--The selected Plan, shown on Drawing No. 65-314-21, proposes to obtain the second unit of 1,200,000 acre-feet from the proposed Sequoia and Bell Springs storage reservoirs on the Lower Eel River. This system, including railroad relocation and conveyance facilities to Sacramento River, is estimated by the State of California to cost $560,000,000. It is estimated that another $40,000,000 would probably be required for additional electrical and other facilities. The yield from this system, estimated at 1,200,000 acre-feet, would be pumped and routed through the Middle Fork Eel River system to Clear Lake and Monticello Reservoir; thence to the Sacramento River.
