The basic facilities that would be provided at the reservoirs include access roads, parking areas, beaches, boat launching ramps, picnic and campground areas, public utilities, comfort stations, and related items. The new reservoirs would create new, large water areas for boating, fishing, swimming, and water skiing, and, additionally, would provide new access to some of the most spectacular scenery in the Nation, particularly at Bridge Canyon and Marble Canyon Reservoirs. No costs are included for recreational developments of the Lower Colorado River Land Use Plan, although under ultimate development, it is estimated that recreation use possibly would total 34 million visitor-days.
