Upaya Perlindungan Hukum Bagi Korban Tindak Pidana Pencabulan (Studi Kasus Pengadilan Negeri Surakarta)

This study aims to determine the legal policy, scope of molestation, mechanisms for handling cases of molestation and the basis of judges' judgment in passing verdicts and legal protection efforts for victims of molestation. The research method used is empirical juridical. Data sources consist of primary data in the form of direct interviews and secondary data, namely primary, secondary and tertiary legal data. Data collection methods through interviews and literature study, then the data were analyzed qualitatively. The results showed that the scope of molestation was very broad and the mechanism for handling criminal acts of molestation had been explained in the law and the protection for victims of molestation in the form of legal assistance, rehabilitation and compensation had been well formulated. The legal basis for the judge's consideration in passing the verdict is in accordance with applicable law, while the protection given to victims listed in UURI Number 31 of 2014 Amendment to UURI Number 13 of 2006 is sufficient to protect victims who have been deprived of their rights, even though these efforts cannot restore the victim's future and cannot completely eliminate the psychological trauma suffered by the victim
