The Effect of Social Capital on Organizational Capability for Non-Profit Organizations: The Moderating Effect of Market Orientation

As lots of natural disasters that occurred around the world, Regional financial crisis happened, and non-profit organizations sprung up in the past years. For non-profit organizations, they are struggling for operation, because it's difficult to obtain resources from government and public sources. Several non-profit organizations have begun to rely on other organizations for more resources and getting information. By building good relationship with customer and improving efficiency to achieve better performance outcomes. In this study, it explores how to develop customer relationship capability and knowledge integration capability by social capital, and sustain great organizational performance from two aspects, resource-based view, and core competence theory. The sample of this research is non-profit organizations in Taiwan, which according to 'Directory of 300 major foundations in Taiwan' which published by Himalaya Foundation and the website named 'Taiwan NPO information platform' as the object of study. The questionnaires of total disbursements were 1172, and 218 valid questionnaires were collected, the overall response rate was 15.4%, and the data was used to analytical and empirical results. The empirical results show (1) Structural dimension of social capital and Cognitive dimension of social capital has a positive significant impact on CRM (2) Structural dimension of social capital and Cognitive dimension of social capital has a positive significant impact on Knowledge integration capability (3) both CRM and knowledge integration capability have a positive significant impact on organizational objectives (4 ) both CRM and knowledge integration capability have a positive significant impact on social objectives (5) knowledge integration capability have a positive significant impact on CRM.
