34George Sunter was born in December 1881 to parents James and Eliza (nee Hepworth) Sunter. In January 1915 Sunter was in Darwin and joined with Oscar Herbert to form the company ?Herbert and Sunter?. The Herberts ran Koolpinyah Cattle Station near the mouth of the Adelaide River. Following the war, Sunter returned to Koolpinyah Station. Sunter also worked as a trepang fisher and travelled the north coast widely. He recalled his work and adventures in his book, ?Adventures of a Trepang Fisher?. By 1936 Sunter had moved to Queensland where he remained registered on the electoral roll in the Division of Moreton until 1943.
