Lightning Relocated

Caption: "Oklahoma City went into the reclaimation business last month to relocate Lightning creek and permit opening of Sante Fe ave. between SE 39 and SE 38. The wandering stream formely passed to the east of the large oak tree in the center of the picture. Workers dug a new channel, not yet finished, 130 feet to the west. The new channel will be 15 feet deep, 20 feet wide at the bottom, and 60 feet across at the top when finished. Curb and gutter for Santa Fe across the fill has already been laid and paving is to go in soon.
