Right now they can't land on Oklahoma City's Municipal airport because our runways aren't strong enough or long enough. $4,300,000 is being asked to beef up existing runways to support the heavy jets' wheels and to lengthen one runway to permit them to take off and land. Longest runway now is 7,4000; jets neef 10,000 feet of runway space. The bond money would also build new hangars, freight center and other facilities to put Oklahoma City in front in aviation.
