Development of Czech non-professional scenic dance 1968 - 1989

The bachelor thesis deals with the Czech non-professional scenic dance during the years 1968 to 1989 and shortly introduces the situation in the field in years before. It explains the system of institutions for nonprofessional (not only scenic) dance and their scope of employment. It considers the Czech non-professional dance as a complex subject with a particular relation to the state system and to other cultural and art disciplines. It summarizes the activity in the field and it introduces significant representatives and actions, above all displays. As a point of departure it mainly uses the periodical Taneční listy (The Dance Sheets) and therefore it also provides information about the form and the range of reflection of dance in that time. It points out head trends which were developing in various fields of the Czech non-professional dance
