This work has the objective of a case of a 16-year-old mare who came to the veterinary hospital of the UFPB, diagnosed with grade 4 laryngeal hemiplegia. The animal arrived at the prosthetic Hospital in lateral decubitus with a history of respiratory noise after an accomplishment of exercise, raising suspicion by veterinarians based on history and clinical signs of esophageal obstruction, rabies and laryngeal hemiplegia. Being asked for some complementary tests by the veterinarians to arrive at the diagnosis and carry out the specific treatment, considering that the animal already arrived at the hospital with a traqueotube.
