Par diffraction de neutrons polarisés on a étudié les structures magnétiques de nombreux cristaux de spinelles ferrites (mono et mixte). On a démontré que cette méthode est applicable même aux structures colinéaires. On a employé l'expression du champ moléculaire pour expliquer la courbe expérimentale d'aimantation de MgFe2O4 et en tirer les valeurs des interactions dominantes. On trouve JAB = — 22 °K et JAA = — 4 °K. Par diffusion de neutrons froids, on a pu déterminer les valeurs des interactions dominantes dans ZnFe2O4 et ZnCr2O4. JBB (Fe3+-Fe3+) = 1,04 °K et JBB (Cr3+-Cr3+) = 2,38 °K.
