On a étudié par diffraction de neutrons une série de composés ZnFe2-xCrxO4 où x = 0 ; 0,1 ; 0,5 ; 1,0 ; 1,5 ; 1,9 ; 2. Tous sont des spinelles cubiques normaux. Le paramètre u de l'oxygène a été précisé pour chaque échantillon. Pour x ≤ 1,5, on n'observe, à basse température, que de l'ordre à courte distance. La structure magnétique des composés x = 1,9 et 2 est analogue à celle de MgCr2O4.
