The emotions study has been a neglected subject in the social science field. There have been many reasons for this; feminist criticism notes that it is an issue resulting from patriarchal thinking, which proposes a male superior reasoning based on direct action against a feminist way of seeing the world and a society based on communicative and emotional values. Others note that it is rather due to the Judeo-Christian morality which promotes control of passions, desires and emotions.
