La lexicografia catalana moderna a les Illes Balears

The works on lexicography published in the Balearic Islands after the completion of the Diccionari Català-Valencià-Balear (1962) are described and analysed in this paper. These works are already fully inserted in the movement for the linguistic recovery undertaken the last twenty years. Especially, but not exclusively, the paper analyses the reflection on those works of the particularity of the Balearic dialect with regard to the Standard language; that is to say, the degree of vindication of the specific forms and words of the insular Catalan tacitly or explicitly accepted in the Standard frame
