Today, intense competition and technological change upsurges the increasing pressure on organizations and their different ways of increasing the productivity of their workforces; this is what makes competency the most important part of a competitive environment. This study was designed to see whether implementing a competency-based performance management system resolve the problems that were inherent in the previous job-based system.
