This bachelor's thesis deals with the question of consumer protection, specifically with the regulation of liability for product defects, eventually with liability for damage caused by the product defect. The reader will learn especially how to act when a product defect appears, then in what term he has to apply his rights or by whom and under which conditions. This topic is made clear not only by using quotations of the law but also by showing on examples and experiences. The list of most common fraud practices of sellers is also mentioned. In this thesis, you can also find some information about consumer organizations -- what is their goal or how to contact them. At the end I analyzed how well the consumers know their rights.
