This paper shows learning difficulties the learners of English phrasal verbs might come across. Non-native speakers have a hard time comprehending multi-word verbs as one unit which makes it more difficult to include them into their personal corpus of the English language, not knowing how to properly use them in a sentence when speaking or writing. It is especially hard for Slavic learners, considering that Slavic languages do not contain multi-word verbs as separate constructions.
