Converse Hall 1913

A photograph of Converse Hall, constructed from August 1906 to July 1907, taken from southwest looking at west entrance. The hall sits amidst an open sagebrush field. It is flanked with what appears to be an outhouse on the left and a small elevated wooden structure on the right. The two stairwells appear to be elevated far above ground level. And the center entrance also doesn't seem to provide access into the hall.There are three copies of this photograph. The first photograph (000645) is in fair condition. It has been glued to a beige backing and the front suffers a tear at the bottom that appears to have been caused by an attempt to force the picture from the backing. Written on the back is, "Westminster Co." This particular photograph offers no other information. The second photograph is also in fair condition. It is a stand alone piece and has the date "1913" written in the top right corner in black ink and the word "over" written at bottom center. Three pinholes are located near the top center. On the back is a red stamp identifying Westminster College and its location. Written in black ink next to the stamp is the following, "Converse Hall as H.W.R. first saw it [;] 1913 [written in pencil]." The number "19" is written in parentheses with pencil.
