Ferry Hall Close-Up

An early close-up photograph of the west side (front) of Ferry Hall. The grounds around the hall are unlandscaped and appear to be nothing but dirt. In the distance, a house and a telephone or telegraph pole is visible at the very right of the hall. A white border surrounds the photograph.This photograph is in poor condition. It has multiple creases and the edges are worn or torn away from handling and age. The only handwritten remarks are on the back which read as follows: "Westminster, 4X5 [scribbled out], [?] to Weaver of Telegram, change, 60 [?], [?] 3". A black stamp of "Westminster College" located near the top. The only handwritten marks are on the front. Written in black ink along the bottom right border is the following: "C. Legrande Sull. 30." Written at the bottom center is: "Ferry Hall [,] Girls Dormitory [,] West Front." Ferry Hall began construction in October 10, 1907 and was finished two years later due to lack of funds. The hall bore the name of Colonel William and Jeannette Ferry, Park City residents who contributed $15,000 of the $25,000 needed to erect the hall.
