George Howard sold ten acres containing this property to William Clark in 1874. Clark divided the property and sold a three and a quarter acre section to Marian Bennion in 1885. She took out a mortgage against the property in 1885 which may have been used to build the house. Benjamin Hill purchased one acre in 1899 which contained the house. He sold the property in 1919 to Ellen Parker Rose. She sold the property in 1920 to D. Branson Brinton and his wife, Ethel. They owned the property until 1926 perhaps using it as income property as they did not appear to live in it.
