This article proposes to contribute to the history of Paul Valéry's reception in Brazil, particularly in the context of the neoclassical revival in the second postwar modern lyric poetry, when the poetry of the author of Charmes, and some of his poetic ideas began to guide the creation of Modernists, and the emergent Generation of 45.
