Add to ORKGGolda Langley discusses her career as a school teacher in rural Montana during the early to mid-20th century. She recalls her students for each year that she taught at different schools throughout Montana. She talks about the “school bus” that a community member built—a little building on sleigh runners with a stove in it—to convey the children to school. Langley talks about the hot lunch program that she and the parents set up as well as the school programs for different events such as Christmas. She remembers an earthquake that shook the Beavertail School.
