Reliability becomes a very important feature in the design process of an embedded system. Therefore, the development of fault tolerance strategies is also among the priorities in the early design phases of embedded systems. This thesis aims to establish a framework that allows finding the best platform solution for a given application in heterogeneous MultiProcessor System-on-Chip (MPSoC) systems. The found solution must be integrated the fault tolerance. A new platform meta-model integrated the fault tolerance is presented that roles an infrastructure to build models.
