KONSENTRASI SPASIAL INDUSTRI KECIL DAN MENENGAH DI PROVINSI JAWA BARAT PADA TAHUN 2014 - 2018

Labor as one of the factors of production is a very important and most influential element for managing and controlling the economic system, the absorption of labor is influenced by the number of business units or small and medium industries (IKM). The number of business units will result in increased employment and vice versa. This study aims to determine the spatial concentration of small and medium industries in West Java Province in 2014-2018, and find out whether the variables in this study have a significant effect or not. Writing in this thesis uses a quantitative approach to the type of descriptive quantitative research and data collection methods using secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency of West Java (BPS). The results of this study are the variable number of business units and investment affect labor. With a coefficient value of the number of business units of 0.177 and an investment coefficient of 0.097. For this reason, the more the number of business units and investments, the more workforce will be. It is expected that the government in West Java Province will facilitate licensing in business and increase UMR and increase employment
