The bulk of controversy surrounds the Scotia Prince, an international ferry that travels between Maine and Nova Scotia, currently docked at the city\u27s International Marine Terminal. A 1998 study recommended moving the ferry and the cruise ship operation from its current location to a site on the East End being vacated by Bath Iron Works in December of 2001. Citizens opposed to the move won a victory yesterday at the city council workshop when most council members endorsed looking at alternative sites to ensure public trust in the process, but most believe the ferry will eventually be moved to the East End
