TANGO E IDENTIDAD: Problematizando el lugar de la afrodescendencia en Argentina

The tango is the most paradigmatic music of the area of the River Plate. It has been said much and writing a lot on this genre that had conquered crowds in several historical contexts and in different places of the world, but a problem of visibility exists. In its beginnings and later development there is a contribution that it had been hushed up, the “africanía”, on line with the whitening and the historical speech in Argentina that had turned the african group and afrodescendents in the “first missing people”, a speech that had been repeated as common sense and with which is difficult to fight. If the music is an important generator of identities, it is necessary not to lose of sight the participation and the afro stamp in the archetypal genre that defines the “argentinidad”, and is typical of the of the River Plate region, because it contributes to the definition of a multicultural frame where the african fingerprint, among others, defines the “argentinidad” and, in general, its stamp is strong in the area of the River Plate. According to estimations and pilot tests, it is estimated that two millions argentinians are afrodescendents and the last census (2010) indicated almost 150.000 persons recognized themselves as this, for the first time in the national history. Muito foi dito e foi escrito neste gênero que conquistou multidões em vários contextos históricos e em lugares diferentes do mundo, mas um problema de visibilidade existe. Nos começos deles e desenvolvimento posterior há uma contribuição que foi silenciado, que do africanía, em linha com o branqueamento e a fala histórica em Argentina que transformou à comunidade africana e afrodescendiente na "primeiras pessoas desaparecidas", uma fala que repete até a fadiga no bom senso e com o que é complicado para lutar. Se a música é um gerando importante de identidades, é necessário não perder de visão a participação e o impronta afro no gênero arquetípico que define o argentinidad e é característico do Río de la Plata região, desde que faz à definição de uma marca multicultural onde a impressão africana, entre outras, define o “ser argentino” e, em geral, o impronta dele é forte na área do Río de la Plata. De acordo com estimativas e inquéritos, eles são dois milhão afrodescendientes na Argentina e o último Censo (2010) quase indicou 150.000 que eles são reconhecidos a si mesmos, pela primeira vez na história nacional. Mucho se ha dicho y escrito sobre este género que conquistó multitudes en varios contextos históricos y en diferentes lugares del mundo, pero existe un problema de visibilidad. En sus inicios y posterior desarrollo hay un aporte que se ha silenciado, el de la africanía, en línea con el blanqueo y el discurso histórico en Argentina que ha convertido al colectivo africano y afrodescendiente en el “primer desaparecido”, un discurso que se repite hasta el hartazgo desde el sentido común y con el que resulta complicado lidiar. Si la música es una importante generadora de identidades, es necesario no perder de vista la participación y la impronta afro en el género arquetípico que define la argentinidad, y es característico de la región rioplatense, puesto que hace a la definición de un marco multicultural en donde la huella africana, entre otras, define el ser argentino y, en general, su impronta es fuerte en el área del Río de la Plata. Según estimaciones y pruebas pilotos, se estiman dos millones de afrodescendientes en Argentina y el último Censo (2010) indicó casi 150.000 auto-reconocidos/as a sí mismos/as, por primera vez en la historia nacional.
