Robots constitute a significant part of space activities and will continue to contribute in space applications because of the cost potential and many other benefits they represent. Because robots can work virtually unattended for long periods of time, the rise in productivity will allow us to complete projects faster. As the use of robots in space increases, so will the benefits of having such technology. Robots will be used for dangerous or undesirable tasks and thus freeing humans from the hazards associated with such work.
